Square Enix has announced that they will be releasing a demo version of the action RPG "FINAL FANTASY XVI" for PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. In the demo, players will be able to experience the prologue of the adventure featuring the protagonist Clive Rosfield. Clearing the prologue will unlock another playable content called "Special Battle Demo." The demo will be gradually available for download starting from 17:00 today, June 12, and it offers a volume of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Additionally, players will have the option to transfer their data to the full game.

It is worth noting that "FINAL FANTASY XVI" is the latest installment in Square Enix's popular series and marks the release after approximately 7 years since "FINAL FANTASY XV" (FF15). The producer of the game is Mr. Naoki Yoshida, who also serves as the producer/director of "FINAL FANTASY XIV" (FF14). The development is being handled by the Third Development Division of Square Enix, led by Mr. Naoki Yoshida.

Furthermore, the theme song for this game will be "Tsuki wo Miteita" by Kenshi Yonezu, and a commercial featuring the song will also be broadcasted.

スクウェア・エニックスは、2023年6月22日に発売予定のPlayStation 5向けアクションRPG『FINAL FANTASY XVI（ファイナルファンタジー16）』の体験版を配信することを発表しました。体験版では、主人公「クライヴ・ロズフィールド」の冒険のプロローグをプレイすることができます。プロローグをクリアすると、「スペシャルバトルデモ」という別のコンテンツもプレイ可能になります。体験版は本日6月12日の17時から順次配信され、2〜2時間半ほどのボリュームがあります。また、製品版へのデータ引継ぎも可能です。

なお、『FINAL FANTASY XVI』はスクウェア・エニックスの人気シリーズ最新作であり、『ファイナルファンタジーXV』（FF15）以来約7年ぶりのリリースとなります。プロデューサーは『ファイナルファンタジーXIV』（FF14）のプロデューサー／ディレクターを務める吉田直樹氏であり、開発は吉田直樹氏率いるスクウェア・エニックス 第三開発事業本部が担当しています。

さらに、本作のテーマソングには米津玄師氏の『月を見ていた』が起用されており、それをフィーチャーしたCMも放送されます。
