At the "Kaimon Shinji Fukuo Otoko Erabi" held at Nishinomiya Shrine, approximately 5,000 people dashed through the early morning approach. The top three Fukuo Otoko, all first-time participants, expressed their thoughts of delivering fortune to the disaster-stricken areas of the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Topping the list as the number one Fukuo Otoko was Nozomi Takaya, a first-year student at Tsuji Mon Gakuin University (19 years old). The second Fukuo Otoko was Toshinosuke Yamashita (23 years old), a firefighter from Tottori Prefecture, and the third Fukuo Otoko was Ryuhei Tada (23 years old), a fourth-year student at Kobe University. The Fukuo Otoko selection is based on the tradition of "hashiri-mairi" and is held annually on January 10th. Selected by lottery, 216 participants raced through the course to the main hall, and with thoughts for the disaster-stricken area in his heart, Takaya obtained the number one fortune.

西宮神社で行われた「開門神事福男選び」では、約5,000人が早朝の参道を疾走しました。初参加者である上位3人の福男たちは、能登半島地震の被災地を思い、福を届けたいと語りました。一番福に輝いたのは、追手門学院大学1年の高谷望巳さん（19歳）で、二番福は鳥取県の消防隊員、山下慎之介さん（23歳）、三番福は神戸大学4年の多田龍平さん（23歳）でした。福男選びは走り参りの伝統に基づき、毎年1月10日に開催されます。抽選で選ばれた216人が、本殿までのコースを駆け抜け、髙谷さんは被災地への思いを胸に、一番福を手にしました。
